I’m a documentary wedding photographer, which means my style is very natural and relaxed. I prefer to document your day as it happens, rather than try to pose everything and everyone. Working that way is loads more fun for everyone, and results in great images. It’s also a great way to ensure that your wedding photographs truly reflect your day, capture your personalities and are genuinely unique to you.

I’ve been a working photographer for five years and my background is in journalism – so I’m very good at being in the right place at the right time. I do a lot of commercial and press photography and I am regularly published in the Journal, Yorkshire Post, Hull Daily Mail, plus a ton of regional dailies and weeklies across the country. I’ve also had my portraits featured on the website of Vogue Italia as well as The Times and The Telegraph.

My goal is to give you beautiful, timeless images that you and your family will enjoy looking at forever. And I understand that wedding photography is more than just recording the day and getting you some pretty pictures.

I got married in 2002. Now, 16 years later, I can’t remember the chair covers, I can’t remember the food, I can’t recall what the bridesmaids wore. Apart from a ring, a piece of paper and suit that doesn’t fit me anymore, all I have from that day are the photographs. My daughter (she’s 11) loves looking through our wedding photographs. Some of the loved ones pictured laughing and joking are, sadly, no longer with us. But whenever we look through our wedding photos, it gives me the opportunity to remember them and tell my daughter all about them. So I know only too well the importance and enduring power of quality wedding photography.
